Miniature Games

You ask what is Warhammer 40,000.  It is a miniature figure war game set in the grim future where there is nothing but war.  The game system is devloped by Games Workshop, and uses 6 sided dice to roll for outcome, and distances measured usually in inches, here in the U.S., but I'm not sure how it is set in Europe.  I would most likely guess the metric system, but as I've never played a warhammer game in Europe I can't be sure.  There are many differenet armies represented in this game system.  Each with their own set of statistics that determine what you need to roll on the dice.  Hand to hand attack skill is represented, as well as shooting skill, and how strong, and tough one's selected army is.  Each army has it's own, or will have it's own army book, or codex, as this game system is in it's 3rd edition, and is in the middle of a revamping.  Armies that are represented are Space Marines (humans), Imperial Guard (human), Orks, Tyranids, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Sisters of Battle (human), and Chaos Space Marines (Evil humans).  For more of an overview of the different races, click the Warhammer 40,000 picture, and it will take you to an overview of the different armies, or click on the armies below, which are armies that belong to some of the members of the Adeptus Ineptus.  Each link will have it's own set of picture of the figures, and well as an overview of the different armies, as well a some strategy notes, some of us have picked up.
